During this lessson, I edited the image of the word 'california' that has been typed in a hollywood style. I edited out the background in order to allow it to be placed over images without a white background getting in the way. I also changed the colour from black to white as the original hollywood sign is in white and so, to stick with the theme, I changed the colour. To make the letters stand out, I used the line tool in order to allow the individual letters to stand out seperately and yet together at the same time. I then put the before and after images into my AO2 document and descibed how they had been edited and how I can justify the reasons for editing.
This is really good Shannon, I like that it resembles the Hollywood sign, it shows you've done your research & that you've thought about the full context of the montage.
ReplyDeleteI like how you've put an outline round the letter rather than fill them in so it looks more like the hollywood sign which is very effective. I think it'll look really good once you have added some other images to it for your final montage. :)
ReplyDeleteI like you have used the Hollywood theme which is well known. By using an outline the images will stand out when they're added and be more bold in your montage.
ReplyDeleteI think it's good how you have incorporated the Hollywood logo into saying California, as I believe it is very recognizable and people will know the purpose behind it instantly. Perhaps color could be added to make it look more interesting.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really good edit Shannon. I like how you have removed the black fill effect and added an outline. This is because it will make the letters stand out. I think that this is a good image to start your final montage.
ReplyDeleteThis Hollywood text is well known and reinforces the fact your topic is Calafornia. Although it could be improved by adding colour or Calafornia based images within the text.

ReplyDeleteI like this image so far because the empty space within the 'California' allows you to add several images into it which is effective. I would suggest adding a bolder or colourful outline to make it stand out more.
ReplyDeleteI like how you have replaced the black fill with the white fill and just left a black border around the text. I can't say too much about this because there isn't many edits to comment on at the moment, but so far your design looks good.
